Evangelism Office vs Evangelism Commision

God gave us the commision it was one of the last things he did, it went something like this:

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations,
baptising them in the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirt,
teaching them to observe all things
that I have commanded you;
and lo, I am with you always even to the end of the age. Amen

This is something Joey was telling me about today, just briefly but it is really quite fascinating.

God commisioned all of us to make disciples of ALL the nations, in order to do this everyone must evangelise. Yes that includes: talking to people you don't know, people you hardly know, people you know, people you love, people you hate. We have to make disciples of all nations.


However it is not fulfilling the office of an evangelist. There are different spiritual gifts/calling enagelist is one of them - you do not have to be an evangelist to evangelise.

Everyone is called to evangelise - EVERYONE

So there it is, you have to evangelise - even if your not an evangelist cos your a christian. If your an evangelist you have to do a whole lot more.
