The Sparrows

Today i had lunch in the park, with my parents. Really good sandwich with steak and eggs! There were lots of sparrows and pigeons milling around. So we started throwing food to them, as in right in front of their faces. They would grab it and fly away as fast as they could into the trees. Then we put lots of pieces on the table in a line. So that they would start eating and get closer as they ate. For a while no birds came - then one came and grabbed a piece and flew off. Then there was a sparrow that came and took a piece and waited on the table while he ate it. The other bird came back and did the same stayed on the table eating. Occasionally they would fly away scared.. . then come back for more.

I started thinking about the scripture that God provides for the sparrows how much more will He provide for you. I figure quite a lot more - today we could have provided for lots of sparrows. however only two were bold enough to come up on our table and eat with us, so they got blessed really blessed they will be fat little sparrows soon.

So to apply that to my life - God wants to bless us he has the blessing sitting right there on his table and occasionally I get intimate and blessed but then i run away with the blessing back to my comfort zone, and then I have to go all the way back to his table. Then i might grab another piece and run. But if

I only stayed I could eat with God from his table.
